Hearing a bedtime story as you're snuggled in your bed is a magical part of the nighttime routine for many children. It can take you to lands that are far away in your mind and help you to relax and fall into a peaceful slumber. Any story you like can be read at bedtime but there are also specific stories that focus on going to bed, nighttime or sleeping. Another bedtime classic, "Where the Wild Things Are" is a book that has been a favorite for many people throughout the years. Max is a boy who dresses up in a wolf suit and misbehaves so he is sent to his room without his dinner. In his room he escapes into a world of imagination and his room becomes a forest filled with "wild things." These creatures look kind of scary but they really aren't scary at all.

Cinderella or The Little Glass Slipper
"Cinderella" is a classic tale about a beautiful girl whose father marries a woman who is mean to her and makes her do all the housework. The evil stepmother also has daughters of her own who are mean to Cinderella as well. Cinderella has a very sad life until she meets a handsome prince who she eventually marries and "they live happily ever after."

Alice in Wonderland
"Alice in Wonderland" is a beloved classic tale about a young girl named Alice who falls asleep underneath a tree and dreams of falling down a rabbit hole. This is where her exciting adventures begin and she encounters characters such as the mysterious Cheshire cat, the Mad Hatter and the evil Queen of Hearts.

"Skippyjon Jones" is a very silly cat that turns into El Skippito through his imagination. He becomes a mighty sword fighter when he puts on his mask and cape and battles an evil bumble- bee in this story.

"Pajama Time!" is a board book that makes putting on your pajamas a lot of fun and turns it into a party or game. There is even a little pajama dance in it that adds extra fun.

"Goodnight, Little Bear" is a wonderful story about Father Bear who is searching for his Little Bear who he has forgotten is on his shoulders.

In "Don't Let the Pigeon Stay up Late!" a very stubborn and tricky little pigeon tries to get out of going to bed. You will love his excuses for not going to bed!

Wynken, Blynken and Nod
"Wynken, Blynken and Nod" is a fun book about three bunnies that sail into the nighttime sky aboard a wooden shoe boat. They use silver and gold nets to catch the stars and they laugh along with the moon.
